If you want a spectacular musical act there is nothing to beat a good versatile piper.  Audiences are always impressed by the colorful,  immaculate appearance of the piper in full military dress, seven feet tall in his black ostrich feather head dress known as a feather bonnet.

People are fascinated by this figure and his music because few have been really close to a piper before nor realised that the 'pipes can make very entertaining music.   The most popular Scottish tunes always go down well whether they are the most beautiful slow airs or foot-tapping marches, jigs and reels.   Bagpipes can play much entertaining music in addition to their traditional material.   They are often heard today in the back-up for popular music recordings.

I have been in the piping business since serving with the Royal Air Force  many years ago.   I spent six years with the British Caledonian Airways Band in its heyday and then a similar period with the Pride of Murray Pipe Band, a very well respected London band which once beat the Scots Guards School of Piping Band in competition.

As  a  mainly solo player today I now play at many and varied functions around the country such as weddings, anniversary  parties, promotions, fetes, conferences, stage shows, funerals and in fact any event where a totally mobile, musical entertainment is required.   The traditional  seasonal events like HOGMANAY AND Burn's Suppers are always a must at the appropriate time the year of course.  

I joined the famous heavy metal rock band "WILDHEARTS" in the recording studio and nearly made it into the charts with "Give the Girl a Gun" a  year or so back.   I spend much of my time working in my studio with some of the latest keyboard equipment creating accompaniments especially written to complement the bagpipe sound. 

I can offer a number of performances from the traditional piper in full dress to the PARTY PIPER with my own interpretation of numbers not normally played on the bagpipes.   I  have performed at numerous venues along the south coast with great  success and  recently  recorded  with the Michael Barrymore Show for the autumn.
